About BtcCal

About BtcCal

A Bitcoin halving calendar that prioritizes schedule and data clarity over price excitement.

A calendar designed for repeat visits

BtcCal brings together the time remaining to the next halving, live block progress, and the relative positions of past cycles.

Instead of dense trading chrome, the page flows from countdown to coordinate chart, table, and plain-language explanation.

Operating principles

Schedule first

Focus on halving timing and block progress without tickers or trade signals.

Visible status

Always disclose whether data is live, cached, stale, provisional, or forecast.

Explain simply

Present schedules, evidence, and limits clearly without adding complex trading features.

How data is updated and verified

Halving schedules and subsidies are calculated from protocol rules, while completed events are checked against the historical record. The price chart uses validated CoinGecko BTC/USD daily closes, and cycle lows and highs are rechecked on TradingView BTC Index daily candles in UTC under the published selection rule.

When data changes, the related Korean and English pages are updated together. Core explanations and tables remain available when live data is temporarily unavailable.

Correction policy

When an error is confirmed in source data, a calculation, or an explanation, the related material and pages are corrected together. Changes to an observation basis or value are reflected in its status and content-updated date.

The currently published evidence and limitations are documented in Data sources and limitations and the cycle-analysis methodology.
